Administrative Assistant/Receptionist

We are a well-established financial, life insurance & retirement planning firm in Richmond, BC.  We are looking for an additional full-time team member as Administrative Assistant/Receptionist.  Work hours will be Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients
  • Prepare meeting rooms and refreshment
  • Answer, direct and relay telephone messages and fax messages
  • Handling mail and arrange courier service
  • Organize and maintain client information and files according to company procedure
  • File documents electronically and name file appropriately
  • Prepare file for client appointment
  • Handling client servicing requests
  • Sort and handle notices and statements from insurance companies
  • Create forms, spreadsheets, reports and PowerPoint presentations
  • Provide clerical and administrative support
  • General office duties

Applicant should demonstrate the following skills:

  • Fluent in verbal and written English; able to speak Cantonese and Mandarin is an advantage
  • Proficient level of computer skills including Microsoft Outlook; Word; Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good communications skills
  • Committed to excellence, accuracy in work and attention to detail
  • Able to self-manage and multi-task with minimal supervision
  • Works well both independently and with team members
  • Able to work effectively and efficiently under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates willingness to adopt new ideas and embraces changes

  • Self-Starter

Annual Salary: $30,000 – 32,000

Compensation: negotiable with experience.
