Nancy Fong is Leoganda’s resident expert for developing custom estate plans, which leverage life insurance to help achieve peace and harmony in family and business wealth management. Helping families to be proactive in their family and business wealth management is Nancy’s passion.
Nancy’s double specialty – as both a lawyer and a Certified Financial Planner – enables her to fully assess needs and design strategies to mitigate taxes and ensure that clients are well protected. She completed the Family Enterprise Advisor program through UBC Sauder School of Business, Business Families Centre in 2012. She is a member of the Institute of Family Enterprise Advisors.
Nancy brings to Leoganda 12 years of experience as a corporate and real estate lawyer in Vancouver and Richmond. Since joining Leoganda in 2004, Nancy has played a strategic role in the growth and development of the firm, leading her to become a partner of the company in August 2010.
In addition to filling big roles in career and family, Nancy believes in giving back to the community and has been joyfully serving as the following:
- Active member of the Vancouver Pacific Lions Club since 1994, having served as President and Secretary
- Vice-Chair and Committee member of Chinese-Canadian Planned Gift Committee for BC Children’s Hospital Foundation
- Corporate supporter of ICC (International China Concern), an organization helping handicapped and abandoned children in China
- Planning committee member of WHEN (Women’s Heart-Engaging Network), a women’s Christian ministry in partnership with Power to Change
Nancy is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin. She is married to her understanding husband Edwin Chiu, and together they have two beautiful children, Emma and Dylan.
